Are you ready to play DIRTY?  We are!  A battle awaits you at Lawson Road, Chase City, Virginia, as we pay homage to Heather-Anne Tucker, with the 4th Annual Adventure Chase Mud Challenge.  This is a RAIN or SHINE EVENT!

The previous Adventure Chase Mud Challenges were  fun, muddy and challenging obstacle races.  Fun for the runners and spectators alike.  And the best part was that the run generated support for some great services through the tri-county area.

There are 20 natural and man-made obstacles for you to overcome along the 5 kilometer (3.2 mile) course.

The annual Adventure Chase Mud Challenge is held each year in September during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month  with teams from all over Virginia and North Carolina coming to Chase City, Virginia to compete or to run for fun.

The main event is a 5 Kilometer, 20 obstacle course that teams of 4-6 runners or individual runners can traverse.  In 2015, a children’s obstacle course was added to the event to promote fun for the whole family.

Apparel vendors, food vendors and entertainment are all onsite during the event.  Bring the whole family for some outdoor fun.

This year all proceeds from food vendors, T-shirt sales and picture sales will go to the Heather-Anne Tucker Foundation's scholarship fund set up to benefit a 2018 graduating senior in the amount of $999.99 to assist with college, trade school, technical school or a similar post high school certification or degree.  The foundation's goal is to offer the $999.99 scholarship each year as tribute to #99's can do attitude and began with the class of  2017 (Heather-Anne's graduation class).

Bring your kids, your neighbor's kids, your nieces/nephews or your grand-kids to the Adventure Chase Mud Challenge so they can run the one kilometer, six obstacle Kid's Course and watch the adults on the five kilometer, 20 obstacle course.  For a $10 donation, kids can run the course as many times as they can between 9:00 am and noon.  The Kid's Course was introduced in 2015 at the request of runners who wanted to make this family event.  The course was a big hit so we added one more obstacle just to make things interesting.  The children can race against the clock, race each other or just have fun with friends while enjoying the great outdoors.  All proceeds will be donated to the 2017 charities!

Kid's Course Obstacles:  log walk, pallet hurdles, mud pit, hay bale climb, rope maze and army crawl.  So bring the kids for a day of muddy, wet fun!

No need to sign-up ahead of time but a participant waiver will be required prior to children being allowed to run the course.
